ABOUT ME
A business leader and caregiver
In 2013, I transitioned from a 7-year corporate career to pursue videography, and I haven’t looked back since.
Hi, I’m Renee Ismail. A self-taught corporate videographer, serial pivoter, speaker, and business mentor who’s been called a “nagger” (but only because I want you to win).
I started my entrepreneurship journey through my company PeachyPixx Productions, offering videography services for keynote speakers, fempreneurs, and small businesses. These days my team runs most of the day-to-day, though I still personally pick up the camera for select clients I’ve built relationships with over the years.
Alongside that, I’m deeply involved in community-based mentorship for solo founders through The Freelancers Academy (TFA). I help independent entrepreneurs build sustainable workflows and growth strategies while maintaining work-life harmony. Drawing from my own decade of trial and error, I push people toward what actually moves the needle because I’ve been in the trenches myself.
My latest pivot is Rafiké. Something close to my heart. It started from my own nervous system: catching myself fidgeting, cracking my fingers, rubbing my hands before speaking in public. One day, I was wearing a simple wooden ring and found myself pressing and rotating it to calm down. Quietly, without anyone noticing. That accident became Rafiké: hypoallergenic, gold-free rings designed to help restless hands find calm, discreetly.
Alongside my professional endeavors, I navigate the delicate balance of being a caregiver at home. Through my work, I hope to empower professionals to achieve their goals while honoring the different hats they wear, each with its own set of challenges.
Whether you’re looking to amplify your business through video content, seeking guidance on scaling your solo venture, curious about Rafiké, or want to connect with a community of fellow founders, I’m here to help you achieve your goals. Let’s connect and explore how we can work together.
